The two year Community and Developmental Services (DS) Agencies Pilot Project funded by the Ministry of Government and Consumer Services (MGCS) and delivered by OECM, a Broader Public Sector Not-for-profit Group Procurement Organization, is ending on June 3th, 2016.
One of the primary goals of the pilot was to generate savings, increase procurement efficiencies and purchase price improvements for agencies when they buy products and services through OECM’s Marketplace.
According to Flavian Pinto, CFO Community Living Toronto, “This Pilot Project was a big step forward for our sector agencies. Over 50 agencies were able to realize tremendous savings opportunities by buying through OECM’s Marketplace while achieving compliance with the Broader Public Sector Procurement Directive. The most commonly purchased products and services are Office Supplies, Computers, Custodial Supplies, Fine Copy Paper, Toner and Multi-Function Devices.”
OECM would like thank all of its project partners who helped to support this initiative including: the Ministry of Community and Social Services (MCSS); the OASIS Business Resources and Finance Groups; Flavian Pinto, CFO Community Living Toronto; the Toronto Developmental Services Alliance and the OECM team. Their collaborative efforts helped contribute towards the success of this pilot.
