School Bus Rider Safety Training Videos
OECM is proud to present the three elementary school bus rider safety training videos that are available to download and view in in English, French, Described Video and Closed Captioning.
The standardized school bus safety videos have been created for OECM by Intertrain Incorporated, with input from the Ontario Association of School Business Officials’ (OASBO) Transportation Committee to provide standardized first-time rider, primary and junior school bus rider safety training.
Videos have been updated to reflect the Eight Lamp Amber-Red Warning System for school buses across Ontario. The refresh includes the following school bus rider standardized safety videos for the 2022-2023 school year:
- First-Time Rider
- Primary (Kindergarten – Grade 3) students
- Junior (Grade 4 – Grade 8) students

We encourage School Boards and transportation consortia to incorporate these free videos into their school bus rider safety training practices. Additionally, school bus rider safety videos can be made available (streaming/downloading) to parents and guardians, by the transportation consortia and/or School Boards, by linking directly to them in their websites.
