The Barbra Schlifer Commemorative Clinic (BSCC) offers legal, counselling and interpretation services to marginalized and racialized populations of women and gender-diverse people who have survived violence. The Clinic has provided interpretation services since 1987 as part of its broader mandate to assist and accompany women of all cultures and backgrounds who have experienced violence through personal and practical transformation to build resilient lives free from violence.
Interpreter Services Toronto (IST) is an employment social enterprise providing professional interpretation and translation services to individuals, organizations, and businesses, in more than 170 languages. Our services support myriad clients in the legal, private, and public sectors. All profits provide immigrant and refugee women with subsidized professional interpreter training in BSCC’s continued efforts to build resilient lives and communities free from violence.
