It is with great pleasure that OECM announces that our Vice President of Supply Management and Customer Relations, Karen Owen, has been named to the Supply Chain Management Association’s (SCMA)™ first-ever list of the 100 Influential Women in Canadian Supply Chain™.
Announced today, in honour of International Women’s Day and in celebration of the Association’s 100th anniversary, the award recognizes Karen’s achievement and influence on the supply chain community in Canada. In particular, the initiative aspires to promote awareness of supply chain careers, encourage women to join the sector, and build and strengthen the capacity of Canada’s supply chain community.
“Karen is a top achiever in Canada’s supply chain sector, a key contributor to the success of our organization, and a role model for others within the profession,” says John Sabo, President and CEO of OECM. “I am proud to work alongside Karen every day. On behalf of the OECM executive team, the Board of Directors and our staff, I would like to congratulate Karen on this very important achievement honouring her career of contributions to supply chain management.”
To mark her inclusion on the list, Karen will be recognized at the Association’s 100th anniversary National Conference and Gala Dinner, to be held in Montreal in late May.
