March is National Procurement Month, and OECM is proud to recognize the vital role procurement plays in delivering value, transparency, and innovation across the public sector.
This year’s celebration is especially meaningful as it coincides with OECM’s 20th anniversary—marking two decades of supporting public sector organizations through collaborative procurement and reinforcing OECM’s reputation as a Centre of Procurement Excellence.
“National Procurement Month is an opportunity to recognize the people, expertise, and collaboration that drive procurement forward,” said Jim Hadjiyianni, OECM’s President and Chief Executive Officer. “As we celebrate both National Procurement Month and OECM’s 20th anniversary, we are proud to honour the collective impact of our customers, supplier partners, and cross-functional teams who work together to advance transparent, strategic, and value-driven procurement that support stronger public sector outcomes.”
At OECM, procurement excellence is a truly collective effort. This year, we are recognizing the many OECM teams that contribute to the end-to-end procurement lifecycle—from strategy and requirements gathering to RFx development, posting, evaluation, and contract award, as well as customer and supplier management.
In addition to our Strategic Sourcing team, functions including Supplier Relationship Management (SRM), Customer Relationship Management (CRM), Marketing and Communications (Marcom), the Project Management Office (PMO), Business Intelligence & Finance, and Business Development (BD) play essential roles in planning, executing, and supporting collaborative procurement initiatives. Together, these teams help ensure sourcing initiatives are effectively delivered and that customers and supplier partners remain engaged throughout the procurement lifecycle.
Throughout March, OECM will share articles and social media posts highlighting the work happening across the organization and the value procurement brings to the public sector. This includes recognizing the leadership of OECM’s Strategic Sourcing team as they bring procurement initiatives to life.

Beyond March, OECM will continue highlighting procurement in action through stories that showcase the value created through collaboration across teams, customers, supplier partners, and advisory groups.
