Collaborating with the Métis Nations of Ontario (MNO)
As part of OECM’s efforts to strengthen our relationship with Indigenous communities and organizations, we engaged with Métis Nations of Ontario (MNO) on several initiatives, including back-to-school kits, printing services, and promotional products.
This year, as part of the Métis Back-To-School Indigenous Early Learning and Child Care (ELCC) program, 2,600 learning and knitting kits were delivered to registered Métis families living in Ontario. The kits were sourced from OECM’s supplier partner, Allegra Toronto North. In addition to this successful program, OECM has undertaken two new initiatives in partnership with MNO. The Land Kit initiative will provide kits for children aged 0 – 12 to promote being outdoors and on the land to promote land exploration. The 2024 Christmas Gifts for Families will feature specialized art supply kits for families and children to create personalized art pieces.
We will continue engaging with MNO to support their initiatives and explore opportunities for OECM to bring value. Customers who wish to source similar knitting kits or promotional items can leverage our Marketing and Promotional Products agreement.
