COVID-19 Taskforce: OECM Collaborates with the Ministry of Government and Consumer Services (MGCS)

The Ontario government has been working hard to manage the impact of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic on the province. On March 21, the province launched the Ontario Together: Help Fight Coronavirus Website appealing to Ontario’s manufacturers, entrepreneurs and innovators to provide emergency supplies and equipment, essential services and innovative solutions to help support the fight against COVID-19.

OECM began collaborating with the Ministry of Government and Consumer Services (MGCS) as part of the government taskforce acquiring products in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic. In April 2020, we asked all supplier partners to let us know if they have any products available so that we can share this information with MGCS. Click here to read our call for support.

To date the COVID-19 pandemic team at OECM has responded to nearly 2,500 Supplier submissions to the Ontario Together website for Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and Sanitation Products including disinfecting wipes, hand sanitizer and hard surface disinfectant.
