Dilhari Fernando was appointed to the OECM Board of Directors in October 2023.

With leadership experience spanning government, non-profit, Crown Corporations and the private sector, Dilhari is a seasoned ESG (environmental, social and governance) and public policy leader.

Dilhari is the Chief Sustainability Strategy Officer at the Canadian Nuclear Laboratories where she integrates ESG across the firm’s operations, policies, procedures and culture. In previous roles, Dilhari served as Managing Director, PSP Investments, where she helped develop the organization’s inaugural climate strategy. She was also the first General Manager, Corporate Sustainability, at Canada Post and founder of the ESG consultancy, the Sitka Group. Dilhari started her career at the Government of Canada which she credits to spurring her interest in sustainability.

Dilhari holds an MBA from the Telfer School of Management (University of Ottawa), a Master of Forestry Economics from the University of New Brunswick, a B.Sc. from Western University, and multiple certificates in sustainability/ESG. Dilhari is also a board member of the Carleton Place & District Memorial Hospital Foundation.
