OECM Hosts 2023 Supplier Recognition Program Lunch and Award Ceremony
OECM’s inaugural 2023 Supplier Recognition Program (SRP) Lunch and Awards Ceremony was held at the Angus Glen Golf Club on May 6. Hosted by OECM’s Senior Supplier Relationship Manager, Mie Okawa, the event saw an impressive turnout of close to 100 attendees representing over 45 Platinum suppliers, making it a significant milestone for OECM.
Piloted in 2019 as an integral first step in strengthening OECM’s relationships with supplier partners and driving greater performance, the SRP aims to drive long-term performance improvements by recognizing and motivating supplier partners to deliver continued savings, value, choice, and service to our customers.
The ceremony was marked by insightful introductory speeches from OECM’s Chair of the Board, Dr. F. Haider Alvi, and our President and CEO, John Sabo, setting the stage for the keynote session on Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) delivered by Alison Joutsi, Principal at ESG Global Advisors Inc. Alison’s enlightening presentation provided strategic insights that align with OECM’s commitment to sustainability and responsible business practices.
The ceremony received positive feedback and appreciation from our supplier community. Building on the success of this event, OECM intends to establish this as an annual tradition, serving as the culminating event of the SRP in the coming years. Earlier this year, we also shared enhancements to the 2024 Supplier Recognition Program (SRP).
OECM remains committed to strengthening supplier relationships to effectively manage contracts and provide enhanced services to our customers, and through supplier-driven initiatives, we can foster a greater level of mutual understanding and communication.
