Welcome Message from OECM’s President and CEO, John Sabo | Fall 2021

Welcome to the Fall 2021 edition of the OECM Connection, our quarterly newsletter for OECM customers, supplier partners, and others interested in collaborative sourcing and OECM. This issue marks our second anniversary of the OECM Connection. I am proud of our work over the last two years and our commitment to creating a centralized meeting place for our vast OECM family, including our customers, supplier partners, employees, and other stakeholders. Now, more than ever, it is important for us to collaborate, while using this platform to proudly showcase the various ways we are leading opportunities for greater collaboration amongst and between all our partners and across sectors.

During the last quarter and despite the ongoing impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, OECM continues to assist and collaborate with our customers and supplier partners while engaging in strategic projects with other organizations in the not-for-profit sector. The recent partnership with Dell Technologies and Advanced Learning Partnerships (ALP), launching an exclusive Professional Learning Program for Ontario educators, and the joint affiliate relationship with Shared Services West are some of the latest testimonies that speak to the work we are doing to create deeper connections.

We continue to listen to the feedback and needs of our customers, launching OECM’s Supplier Partner Newsletters and our new Facilities and Operations Spotlight Newsletter. We also recognize the critical role we play in supporting our staff with health and wellness, throughout the pandemic and beyond. In this edition, we share the incredible activities that have taken place promoting work/life balance, the update we have made to our Diversity and Inclusion Statement, and various activities that reinforce our inclusive, diverse, and collaborative work environment.
