Toronto, ON – OECM is thrilled to announce the achievement of a noteworthy new milestone, reaching $3 billion in accumulated collaborative spend – in a record-breaking 15 months.
The $3 billion figure, reported as of December 31, 2021, as part of the fiscal year-end audits, represents consistent year-over-year increases in collaborative customer spend and demonstrates OECM’s tremendous growth and success in upholding its commitment to deliver value, generate savings and create greater efficiencies for its customers.
“On behalf of OECM’s Board of Directors, it is with great pride that we celebrate this significant achievement, and I would like to extend my congratulations to the entire OECM team who have been instrumental in getting us to this milestone,” says Dr. F. Haider Alvi, Chair of the Board, OECM. “OECM continues on a revolutionary trajectory of growth and success, once again setting a record in reaching our third billion in accumulated collaborative spend in far less time than the two and a half years it took to realize our $2 billion milestone in 2020.”
Since its inception in 2006, OECM has made tremendous progress towards becoming the trusted not-for-profit collaborative sourcing partner for Ontario’s education sector, broader public sector and other not-for-profit organizations. Collaboration amongst and between customers across multiple sectors, seamless partnerships with innovative and reputable supplier partners, and solid relationships with government stakeholders and allies have contributed greatly to OECM’s continued advancement and accomplishments.
“OECM’s spectacular growth and the success we’ve seen over the past few years underscores our value as a collaborative strategic sourcing partner to our customers, particularly over the last two years as we’ve pivoted to respond to various pandemic-driven needs and a demand for greater collaboration and innovation,” says John Sabo, President and CEO, OECM. “Our relationships are vital to ensuring that OECM’s customers have consistent access to the best overall total value and quality of service, and it is because of the commitment and dedication of our talented staff and the support of our esteemed Board of Directors that we continue to thrive and are able to celebrate this special milestone today.”
