OECM delivers new Client Information System and Related Services agreement for Empowered Kids Ontario (EKO) members

April 5, 2022

New agreement responds to the needs of Children’s Treatment Centres (CTCs); is based on a collaborative procurement process that included extensive customer engagement and consultation.

Toronto, ON – OECM is pleased to announce the delivery of a new Client Information System and Related Services agreement, specially curated for Ontario’s publicly funded child development and rehabilitation sector, the agencies that help children with disabilities and their families live their best lives and are members of Empowered Kids Ontario (EKO).

This sector is a new customer segment for OECM, and through this agreement gains access to unparalleled savings, choice, and service, as well as contract management and other administrative advantages that come from working with OECM as their trusted collaborative strategic sourcing partner.

In the fall of 2020, as part of due diligence and to explore available system options, EKO engaged OECM in a strategic partnership to lead the acquisition and implementation of a Client Information System that would effectively and efficiently meet the sector’s needs.

“OECM is well known across the broader public sector for their expertise in procurement, contract management, and customer relations. We wanted to engage with a shared services partner who understood the nuances of privacy, security and Ministry reporting, and could provide wide-ranging support for our members,” says Jennifer Churchill, Chief Executive Officer of Empowered Kids Ontario.

EKO members were engaged throughout the process and the result is an agreement for a complete system solution that features a wide variety of technologies and functionalities that fit across the lifecycle of their client engagement activities.

“Through this collaboration with Empowered Kids Ontario, OECM has demonstrated the value of our experience and the depth of our expertise in facilitating end-to-end procurement for an organization,” says John Sabo, President and Chief Executive Officer, OECM. “We welcome EKO members into the OECM customer fold and are pleased to provide them with the guidance and support they need to optimize performance and increase administrative efficiencies as their businesses evolve.”

“Not only can these agencies now access a secure and customizable client information system solution available through a choice of two trusted OECM supplier partners, but they can also tap into over 80 other agreements that are available to them through our Marketplace,” adds Karen Owen, OECM’s Vice President of Supply Management and Customer Relations. “OECM’s involvement also means greater long-term savings and productivity through consistent contract management, reliable service and competitive pricing.”
