National School Bus Safety Week took place October 22 to 26, 2018. As part of this week-long event, OECM launched the First-Time Rider Safety Program Toolkit. This toolkit includes a number of resources to help transportation consortia promote and support first-time rider safety events.
Funded by the Province of Ontario, the First-Time Rider Safety Program Toolkit was created by OECM and Intertrain Inc., with input from OASBO Transportation Committee and Ontario School Bus Association.
Created primarily for use by school boards and transportation consortia, the toolkit consists of customizable resources in English and French, including a Best Practice Manual, Brochure, FAQ, Safety Tips, Activity Book for kids, and more!
