Since our last update, OECM, together with our dedicated OECM Facilities Support Team (OFST) has worked diligently to coordinate with District School Boards and the Ministry of Education to support the COVID-19 Resiliency Infrastructure Stream (CVRIS) – an initiative that provides up to $700 million in combined federal-provincial funding for education-related projects that protect the health and well-being of students, staff and children. To streamline communication between School Boards and supplier partners, we have established the OECM CVRIS Initiative Spotlight – a bilingual, bi-weekly newsletter for our school board customers that features the latest project updates.
The OFST team has initiated engagement with OASBO Operations, Maintenance and Construction (OMC) to determine interest in OECM’s CVRIS related agreements and assess other ways that OECM can support school boards throughout this time-sensitive initiative. OECM’s Customer Relationship Management team is actively assisting and facilitating customer inquiries to help them leverage the new Agreements.
School Boards are already actively accessing recently launched agreements, including Unit Ventilators; Commercial Air Treatment Technology, Related Products and Optional Services; Automatic Door Operators, Electromagnetic Door Holders and Hands-Free Switches/Sensors for Doors; and Commercial Ductwork Sealing and Related Services – in alignment with their business requirements and immediate needs. These agreements are available to all OECM customers.
OECM has established a Facilities Priority Projects Team (FPP) who are exploring other facilities-related procurement project opportunities that may be useful to school boards and other sectors. Four new projects have already been identified, and research is underway. These include Roofing Consultants, Roofing Contractors, Fire Alarm Systems, and Electrical Products.
OECM will continue to support and prioritize the CVRIS-related needs of our school board customers to ensure the successful completion of projects in a timely manner.
