Spotlighting: OECM’s School Board and College/University Procurement Advisory Committees
As part of our commitment to excellent customer service, OECM has instituted several advisory committees across various sectors to foster greater customer engagement and facilitate knowledge sharing.
To strengthen ties with and amongst Ontario’s education sector, OECM established the School Board and College/University Procurement Advisory Committees as a platform for customers to communicate the education sector’s needs and requirements. Comprised of subject matter experts, advisory committee members provide critical oversight on existing and upcoming procurements, share opportunities for collaboration and provide insights into the challenges they are facing so that, collectively, we can develop and share ideas for solutions. OECM provides regular updates at the Committee Meetings and brings topics and agenda items that are requested by the members and relevant to the sector. The committee is critical in promoting greater collaboration across the education sector.
The committees meet on a quarterly basis to exchange knowledge and details that are vital in supporting OECM’s decision-making process and in the development of procurement initiatives. Their expertise, advice, and insights are leveraged to ensure a customer-driven, need-based Marketplace.
School Board Advisory Committee
Most recently, the committee was instrumental in the development of OECM’s Security Systems Access and Control Products and Related Services agreement, which provides access to various security systems access and control products and services, as well as design, installation, monitoring, and implementation services for security system products.
