The Ontario government is working hard to manage the impact of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic on the province. On March 21 the province launched the Ontario Together: Help Fight Coronavirus Website appealing to Ontario’s manufacturers, entrepreneurs and innovators to provide emergency supplies and equipment, essential services and innovative solutions to help support the fight against COVID-19.
OECM has been collaborating with the Ministry of Government and Consumer Services (MGCS) and the Ministry of Education (MEDU) to identify ways in which we can work with our supplier partners to assist with the current situation. In fact, OECM is working very closely with MGCS as part of the government taskforce acquiring products in the fight against the COVID 19 pandemic. We are asking all supplier partners to let us know if they have any products available so that we can share this information with MGCS.
We know that many of our supplier partners are initiating plans to alleviate pressures and provide support – and these efforts can help the province as they work to stop the spread of the virus and keep our communities safe.
The province posts new challenges and calls for support to the Ontario Together web portal on a regular basis. We encourage all OECM supplier partners to submit their proposals for supplies, solutions, innovations and ideas as soon as possible, via the appropriate links on the Ontario Together web portal.
To help us facilitate an ongoing two-way line of communication, with both our government partners (at MGCS and MEDU), and with OECM customers, supplier partners are asked to please provide an update to OECM’s Supplier Relationship Management team, via their dedicated Supplier Relationship Manager, directly. Further details about the Ontario Together initiative can be found here.
OECM continues to support our supplier partners and customers as we navigate through these uncertain times together.
