In alignment with OECM’s Board-approved People Strategy that promotes our team’s professional and academic growth, we partnered with Supply Chain Management Association Ontario (SCMAO) to make their Core Education and Professional Development offerings available to all our staff members. SCMAO is a leading organization committed to supply chain excellence, elevating the supply chain profession, and serving as a community for supply chain professionals across Ontario.
The partnership includes access to:
- Professional Development Sessions: These sessions help you acquire technical skills and learning in various areas of procurement and supply chain
- Leadership Series: One-day conference-style events featuring topics such as Public Sector Procurement and Supply Chain, Healthcare Supply Chain and Procurement, Digital Transformation in Supply Chain, ESG and Sustainable Supply Chains, Supplier Diversity and Women in Supply Chain, and more
- CSCMP Designation: Requisite courses to obtain a Certified Supply Chain Management Professional (CSCMP) designation
- Diploma Program: Diploma in Procurement and Supply Chain Management is geared toward skilled professionals at the intermediate level
As of October 2023, 52 of our employees are enrolled in one or more program offerings. Our staff consists of highly skilled supply management professionals passionate about strategic sourcing and procurement and eager to learn and excel. Through opportunities for staff training and professional development programs, OECM continues to foster and support a healthy, motivated, and deeply engaged workforce.
