OECM, in partnership with Dell Technologies (a Platinum Supplier Partner on OECM’s End-User Computing Devices agreement) and Advanced Learning Partnerships (ALP), is proud to announce the continuation of our successful Professional Learning (PL) Series for 2024-2025.
Building on the remarkable success of the past few years, the 2024-2025 series will focus on helping K-12 and post-secondary educators (i.e., faculty members, principals, teachers, coaches, classroom educators, etc.) harness the power of Generative AI to improve teaching and learning. This series has been designed to support Ontario educators, but is available to educators nationwide.
15 Free Professional Learning Webinars
Since the PL Series launched in 2021, the collaboration has provided engaging and impactful professional learning webinars specially curated for educators. These free webinars have been tailored to address the evolving needs of educators, focusing on innovative strategies, tools, and technology that align with provincial priorities and district outcomes.
In 2023, educators responded enthusiastically to webinars covering Coding, Truth and Reconciliation, and Well-Being. For the 2024-2025 series, we are excited to build on this momentum with a new set of webinars centered around Generative AI (GenAI).
This year’s program offers five key pathways, each with a series of webinars aimed at equipping educators with practical, actionable insights on how to integrate GenAI into their daily practice, enhancing productivity, instructional design, student engagement, and creative expression.
The Five Pathways for 2024-2025:
- Automate the Mundane, Liberate the People: GenAI Productivity Hacks for Teachers
- GenAI in Action: Math & Science Explorations Powered by AI
- Innovative Teaching: Using Generative AI for Creative and Critical Development in Humanities
- Teach Smart: GenAI-Enhanced Assessment Strategies
- The Productive Principal: Modern Solutions for Reducing Workload and Saving Time
The 2024-2025 Professional Learning Series will kick off on November 7, 2024
