Ontario First Nations Economic Developers Association (OFNEDA) 2024 Conference
September 16, 2024 – September 19, 2024

OECM participated as a presenter at the 2024 Ontario First Nations Economic Advancement Conference (FNEAC), hosted by the Ontario First Nations Economic Developers Association (OFNEDA) in Ottawa, Ontario. The 2024 First Nations Economic Advancement Conference (FNEAC) focused on ‘creating connections’ and expanding economic development for Indigenous communities in Ontario and beyond.

OECM’s Business Development Advisor, Dan Munshaw, spoke about public procurement and how Indigenous communities and businesses can unlock new economic opportunities through transparent and efficient procurement processes.

Municipal Finance Officers’ Association (MFOA) Annual Conference & Tradeshow
September 18, 2024 – September 20, 2024

OECM had a booth and presented at the 2024 Municipal Finance Officers’ Association (MFOA) Annual Conference & Tradeshow in Huntsville, Ontario. OECM’s Senior Manager of Business Development, Patrice Likamshum, presented a session on Planning and Executing an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Transformation. Patrice shared key insight on factors to consider when implementing a new Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) solution. Leveraging personal experience and expertise, he offered several best practices and methods to ensure a seamless introduction of a new ERP solution to your organization.

OECM’s Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Solutions and Related Services agreements are designed to help our customers perform efficient business activities, allowing them to streamline their operations while improving productivity. The agreements have been developed in close collaboration with various advisory representatives from Ontario’s English and French language School Boards, the Ministry of Education (MEDU), the Educational Computing Network of Ontario (ECNO), and the Council of Ontario Senior Business Officials (COSBO).

Ontario Public Buyers Association (OPBA) 66th Annual Conference
September 25, 2024 – September 26, 2024

OECM attended and presented at the Ontario Public Buyers Association (OPBA) 66th Annual Conference in Ottawa, Ontario. OECM’s Senior Manager of Business Development, Patrice Likamshum, delivered an informative presentation on diversification in public procurement. Patrice shared vital insight on how diversifying your supply chain and supplier base can facilitate opportunities across the public sector procurement landscape.

Earlier this year, OECM announced the establishment of a new three-year strategic project partnership with OPBA to support the modernization of OPBA’s public procurement professional development and educational offerings.
