In partnership with Dell Technologies, OECM is proud to offer the 2024-2025 Professional Learning Series, which consists of 22 free webinars for K-12 and post-secondary educators (i.e., faculty members, principals, teachers, coaches, classroom educators, etc.). This series has been designed to support Ontario education but is available to educators nationwide.
This year’s focus will be on Generative AI in education, offering six key pathways to help educators streamline tasks, enhance student engagement, and innovate their teaching practices.

AI at the OCSB

AI in Education: A Canadian District’s Innovative Approach

Parkland School Division (PSD) in Alberta, Canada, is pioneering the integration of artificial intelligence (AI) to enhance student achievement, educator well-being, and administrative efficiency. Through initiatives like the “Transform Educational Practices Through Artificial Intelligence” program and the establishment of dedicated AI committees, PSD equips educators and students with skills to responsibly harness AI tools such as ChatGPT and MagicSchool. Guided by a phased rollout plan emphasizing teacher support, ethical practices, and robust data privacy, PSD’s three-year vision positions it as a replicable model for thoughtful and effective AI integration in education.

We settled on Magic School and in this session we will highlight the process we went through to launch this tool with staff and students.
